Member
A Member shall be any of the following:
l A
national or sub-national PTI in Asia which provides academic and/or practical
police training for two to four years upon the completion of which its trainees
are appointed to police posts.
l An
educational or academic institution in Asia which has a department or faculty
dedicated to police or crime-related studies which provide a four-year degree
program upon the completion of which a substantial number of its graduates are
appointed to police or other law enforcement posts.
l A
national or sub-national PTI in Asia which provides in-service training to
active police officers on specialized areas of policing such as digital
forensics, crowd management, etc.
Dialogue
Partner
A Dialogue Partner shall be any of the following:
l An
educational or academic institution in Asia renowned in police or crime-related
studies and whose trainees enter into a career related to police or other law
enforcement.
l A
PTI which qualifies as a Member but is located outside Asia, or an international
organization or an academic society relevant to police training or other areas
of policing.
